Top Guns have partnered with GDI Alberta to provide Explosive 2on2 hockey for this upcoming winter. The games will be played at their facility which is located just off Deerfoot and Peigan Trail. This central location is convenient for players from all quadrants of the city, so the North, South, East and West can unite weekly in one fast and furious game of 2on2 Explosive hockey.

We are organizing a club environment for 2on2 Explosive Hockey. The game is played on a mini ice (real ice not artificial), which provides the perfect environment for players to develop Explosive skills, which include fast feet, quick hands, lateral movement, deking, goal scoring and shooting. For goalies the shots are challenging and come rapidly.
I would like to invite you, your buddies and your team to join us this winter to come to experience first hand our 2on2 EXPLOSIVE HOCKEY DEVELOPMENT.
Participants: 2 teams each of 6 players and 1 goalie More players can be added if you need, minimum of 6 required Duration: 1 hour non-stop hockey on a small ice surface (5 minute warm up, 55 minute game) Flood after every game. Cost: $20 per player per ice Referee/Coaching: Jamie Paulsen will be doing the coaching/referee aspect of the game on ice. I would ask that viewing dads or coaches open gates to allow the players to make line changes. Rules: Will be provided to you at the time of the ice Line Changes: Each shift will be 90 seconds of Explosive Hockey. Jerseys: We ask that you bring a red and a white jersey to each ice session so we can identify teams by jersey colors.
Cancellation Policy: Player is committed at time of booking, so he can send a substitute ($20) but not leave the slot empty.
(Minimum 6 players and 1 goalie per team) WATER Bottles a MUST! (Refills will be required)
Club Startup is set for September 12, 2009.
Below are some of the comments we received from the first ice time:
1) My son loved it! We really appreciate that you have developed yet another huge successful developmental program for our son. We participated in the 3on3 for the last 2 years and also the AAA Spring program (and plan to continue for the future). Today my son told me he loved the new 2on2 game and worked really hard (filled his water bottle up twice and was dripping wet after the one hour). I asked him how many laps he did and he said "We did laps to warm up the goalie and then didn't do laps anymore." Beats Power Skating for an hour.
2) My son had a blast! We really appreciate you thinking of us for things like this - I take every opportunity to attribute his growth as a player over the past two years to the Top Guns programs. We'd definitely commit to enroll in the 2 on 2 Explosive Hockey once a week. The small ice forces an intense workout on skills that are very difficult to concentrate on to the same degree on full ice for this age group. Not only is it a great workout, its outstanding fun and provides skill development unmatched by any practice.

Top Guns is an organization that has been in existance for over 13 years. We have developed WHL players, Midget AAA Players, Bantam AAA Players and Division 1 players. Please note that Thomas Hickey (Drafted 4th overall in 2007 NHL Draft), Dana Tyrell (Drafted 47th overall in 2007 NHL Draft), Michael Connolly (Team Canada West {Gold Medal Tournament MVP 2007} and Zach Boychuk (Under 18 Canadian Team) were members of Top Guns for 7 years of spring hockey. If you would like to have your son evaluated for our pond hockey program or for one of our Elite AAA hockey teams, please email us your interest and we will organize an evaluation.
